No. Once your deposit is paid, your date is reserved only for you and we turn away every other request for it — so a booked date is final and can’t be moved to another date.

If severe weather or something beyond everyone’s control (a natural disaster, a government order, a venue closure) prevents your shoot, you choose one complimentary reschedule to a date we have available, or a transferable credit valid for six months.
Each additional reschedule is $50. If you decline both options, retainer payments are not refunded. Being unable to attend or changing plans is a cancellation, not a weather reschedule. Full policy.
For weddings, professionally edited photographs are delivered 4–6 weeks after your event date, and your cinematic film 6–8 weeks after the event date.
For smaller, non-wedding shoots (portraits, receptions, family and event sessions), photographs are delivered in 3–4 weeks and video in 4–6 weeks.
If a sneak peek is part of your package, a small set of favorites comes first — usually around ten days after the event.
Every couple gets a private delivery timeline page showing exactly where your photographs and film are in the process, with the expected delivery dates for your own event date, so you can check any time. While we always strive to deliver earlier when possible, we kindly ask that clients allow for the full timeline before inquiring about their photos or videos.
This policy is standard in the creative industry and is essential for maintaining our workflow and business health.
Significant investment of time: long before you receive your final gallery or video, our team has dedicated many hours to the project — meticulous culling, professional editing, color correction, quality checks, and preparing the files for final delivery.
Final product is ready: the final payment confirms the release of a product that is complete and ready to go. The payment is for the work already performed and the final product we are about to share.
Security and stability: requiring final payment before delivery ensures our small business is compensated for the significant time, equipment, and expertise invested in your project. This protects us from delayed or non-payment, which can be detrimental to our operations.
Industry-standard practice: just like ordering a custom product or booking a service, creative professionals operate on a final-payment-before-delivery model. This protects the integrity of the creative product.
Guaranteed release: once the final balance is settled, the delivery process is immediate and hassle-free. Your private gallery link or video download is activated, allowing you to view, share, and download your files instantly.

Our clients consistently tell us they cannot tell the difference, and that is exactly the point. The SureshJ Photography name is your guarantee of quality, regardless of who is behind the lens on the day. The short answer: no. I believe in delivering a finished work of art, which means I don't provide RAW (unprocessed) files. RAW files are flat, gray, and unsharp “digital negatives.” The final JPEGs you receive are the absolute best version of your memories — polished and ready to print or share.
The “why”: think of a RAW file like the ingredients in a five-star restaurant. When you order a meal, you're paying for the chef's expertise in selecting the ingredients, cooking them to perfection, and presenting them beautifully. You wouldn't ask the chef to bring you the raw steak and a bag of flour to cook at home.
The process: capturing the image is only the first half of creating the photograph. The second half happens in the editing room, where I apply my specific color grading, exposure balancing, and signature style. Without this, the images are incomplete.
Our commitment: part of hiring a professional is trusting their curatorial eye. We cull thousands of images to remove blinks, test shots, and duplicates, then meticulously edit the keepers so skin tones, colors, and lighting meet our high standards. We never withhold a great photo — if it's a good moment and technically sound, it will be in your final gallery, fully edited and beautiful.
The short answer: no. We understand you might be curious to see the original, unedited footage, but sharing RAW video files isn't standard practice in professional video production. Our commitment is to deliver a finalized, polished, professional product.
It's the “negative,” not the “photo”: a RAW video file is essentially a digital negative — unprocessed, uncorrected, and flat. It requires specialized software and our expertise to become a beautiful, watchable final video.
Missing our signature style: the finished look — color grading, exposure correction, trimming, and sequencing — is a major part of what you hired us for.
Storage and file size: RAW video files are enormous and often proprietary, requiring specific, expensive software to even open. Sharing them is impractical for everyone.
Our editing time is crucial: our fee covers the entire process, including the hours of editing, color correction, sound mixing, and graphic design that transform footage into a compelling story.
Creative ownership: as the creators, the RAW footage remains our intellectual property. Our contract provides a license to use the final, edited video for your specific purpose.
Brand protection: we can't control how a third party might use or edit RAW files, and distributing unedited versions could misrepresent the quality of our work.
All changes go through your refinement form. When your film is delivered, your timeline page gives you a simple form: pause the film at the exact moment and describe the change. Everyone in the family adds to the same list, and it is sent to us once. The editor works only from this form, so changes sent by text, email or call can't be included.
One round of refinements is included, as long as your list is sent by the send-by date shown on your page.
Any extra fee is paid before the refined film is released. The music is final and can't be changed (here's why), and where a change involves a creative decision, the editor's judgement is final.
The short answer: no. Once your film is edited, the music is final and cannot be changed.
The “why”: a wedding film isn't footage with a song laid on top — the song comes first. Every cut, every slow-motion glance and every transition is placed on the beat and the swells of that exact track. Change the music and the whole edit falls out of step, which means re-editing the entire film from scratch rather than making a tweak.
Have a song in mind? Tell us before editing begins — ideally at booking or right after the wedding. We'll do our best to use it, or find something close in mood and tempo.
What you can refine: one round of refinements is included with every film — trimming or removing a moment, swapping a clip, or correcting a name, title or text. When your film is delivered, your timeline page gives you a simple form to pause at the exact moment and tell us what you'd like changed. The soundtrack is the one element that stays. Standard delivery: all projects include high-resolution, fully retouched JPEG images, color-graded to align with your brand aesthetic and ready for immediate use in print and web.
RAW file buyouts: we understand some commercial clients with in-house design teams may require the RAW data for composite work or specific design needs.
Availability: RAW files are not included in standard packages but are available for purchase via a licensing buyout.
Cost: the fee for RAW file release is generally 35% of the total invoice. Please inquire during booking if your project requires RAW delivery so we can include it in your quote.
